The Chanel Fall/Winter 2025 show was a special moment for Dakota Fanning. Although she’s attended several Chanel shows before, this was her very first time experiencing the collection in Paris at the Grand Palais—a truly unforgettable experience. “It’s always like a dream come true every time.
You enjoy it as if it might be the last time. You just soak it all in,” For the occasion, Fanning wore a gold leather suit, which she called “a twist on the classic Chanel” and “a bright, literally shiny thing. It felt like being a ray of sunshine.”
The outfit was a bolder choice than her usual style. She explained, “I wanted to push the envelope a bit. When you’re at Paris Fashion Week and at the Chanel show, you can take a risk and try something different than usual.” The suit featured a crumpled golden leather jacket with floral details on the pockets, paired with matching pants from the Métiers d’art 2024/25 collection.
She completed the look with a metal and strass belt decorated with bows, 18k yellow gold Coco Crush earrings, gold platform heels with black cap toes (which she said were some of the most comfortable high heels she’s ever worn), and a Chanel bag. “Since the suit was quite a statement and on the louder side, I kept my hair and makeup very simple and clean,” she added.
Fanning’s best friend joined her in Paris, making the show the highlight of their trip. “I can’t stop talking about the bags shaped like bows and the different fabrics, materials, and sizes. I’m obsessed,” she said. “It was classic Chanel but with a playful twist. I’m such a girly girl at heart. My soul is very feminine.”
